Chalkboard with Practical Scrappers

Happy Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm coming by with a layout featuring some chalkboard elements with with Practical Scrappers.  There is lots of inspiration over at Practical Scrappers for different ways to incorporate the chalkboard trend into your next layout - so definitely check it out HERE.

I decided to incorporate chalkboard elements in a couple different of ways on my layout.  First I used a chalkboard Studio Calico/Lindsay Letters chalkboard card.  I loved the sentiment on the card so much and knew it would be great on a layout about my little one.  I also added a strip of Fancy Pants Chalk Tape on the top and bottom of my layout.  I added a little bit of silver ink to the strips of tape to give them a worn/used chalkboard look.

I'm taking the brush script class with Studio Calico next month, but I couldn't wait for the class to start to try my hand at it.  I practiced the word Remember several times before actually heading to my layout to give it ago.  It isn't perfect, but my handwriting isn't perfect either -- :)  I'm actually super pleased with how it turned out.

I added several gold embossed stamped elements and then used the gorgeous feather paper from OA both for a patterned paper element and for cut out embellishments all over the page.  The layout came together beautifully and I'm really happy with it!

So don't forget to check out the other chalkboard inspiration over at Practical Scrappers and we'd love to see your next chalkboard project!
