It is no secret that I struggle with two page layouts. Even with my Kiwi Lane templates that really do help with planning on laying out a two pager, I still really really struggle. It is like, as soon as I think 2 pager my creative brain turns into mush and absolutely nothing comes out. So I jumped at the chance to challenge myself to do a two pager with Practical Scrappers.
It was a trial by fire. I actually restarted this layout 4 different times and a previous layout (different photos and theme) was actually tossed into the trash -- something I almost never do. Finally though, I came up with an idea and it came together on the paper.
I knew that Sketchbook from Amy Tangerine would be perfect colors and even "theme" for these photos of us decorating for my brother and sister-in-law's wedding. I used several Kiwi Lane templates, including Tags 1, Tiny Tags 1T, Paradise, and Aspen Court. I included a few journaling boxes, including doing one set on the shell from Paradise.
The Paradise templates layer so beautifully for interest and detail.
I had fun mixing my Thickers to create a title that capture the idea of bring the tropics to the north (though it was actually quite hot in Montana then).
My Amy Tangerine hand stitching templates showed up right as I was finishing the layout, so I added the tone-on-tone arrows as a finishing touch to the layout.
Head over to Practical Scrappers to see some more 2 page inspiration! If you fear them like I do, maybe this will inspire you to give it a go!
Back tomorrow with Project life!

I love this LO! I think I need to get those KLD templates!
