Scrapbooksteals Blog Hop - Prima Flowers

***I am also doing a blog hop with Kiwi Lane Designs, which can be found here or directly below this post, if you are looking for it.  I'd highly encourage you to check out BOTH blog hops as there are prizes to win with both!!***

Welcome to my stop along the Scrapbooksteals.com Blog Hop!  I am very excited to show you what I came up with for my projects using the gorgeous Prima flowers.  You should have found your way to me from the Scrapbooksteals.com blog for the hop.  If you want to do the Scrapbooksteals.com hop and did not get here from the Scrapbooksteals blog, head on back to the Scrapbooksteals.com blog and start there and then come back here!

When I volunteered to do this blog hop, I did not know what the product was going to be.  When I learned it was going to be some of the Prima Marketing Flowers, I was both nervous and excited.  Flowers are a one of those scrapbooking supplies that I adore on other's layouts, but I really struggle with to use on my own. So when the beautiful green flowers arrived at my door step, I was so excited, because an idea came to me almost immediately.  I was not going to use them on a layout, but rather a yarn wreath for my bedroom, which happens to be brown and green.

I wrapped a foam wreath form with brown yarn that I adhered with my hot glue gun.  Then I played with placing the Prima flowers.  I realized that I needed some bigger flowers as a base for the Primas, so I turned to my trusty Kiwi Lane templates and created the bigger flowers with Sweetheart and Tiny Sweetheart.  From there I was able to layer the Prima Marketing Flowers onto my paper flowers and adhere everything with a glue gun.

This will look awesome on my wall, once I figure out where to hang it!

I made a card using some more of the flowers, along with the Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection.  I loved how the purples of the paper collection worked with the green flowers.  Again I turned to my trusty KLD templates to help me pull this together, using Thoughtful, Tiny Sweetheart, and Tiny Accents.  The Prima flowers look awesome once again laying on top of the paper flowers to create a more full look!

Make sure you leave a comment here and at all of the other blogs along the way, because one lucky random winner will be selected from all of the comments to win a $20 Gift Code from Scrapbooksteals.  The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have to win.  Check the Scrapbooksteals.com blog Wednesday to find out who wins.

I am also hosting my own little giveaway on this blog hop.  One lucky commentor on this post, who is also a follower of my blog, will win one Kiwi Lane Designs template set of their choice.  I will order it through their site and have it shipped directly to you.  So a comment here (and a follow) gives you two chance to win!  Check back here Wednesday morning to see who won!

Comments for both giveaways must be posted by 11:59 MST on 2/3/2013!

You next stop on this hop is to the fabulous Catherine's blog.  So hop on over and check out her projects!
