It is for this weeks entry into the Scrapbooksteals Mid-Week Mojo. This week was Jade 6. Check out the sketch for this week and learn more about Mid Week Mojo at the Scrapbooksteals.com blog.
When you look at the sketch you will probably noticed I went a little bit away from it, but I just had inspiration from a variety of places on my mind as I worked this layout, and it just ended up being a combination of all of the various sources (several of which came from last weeks 2Peas videos for Scrap Your Stash, In the Mood to Scrap and Glitter Girl).
I used all Christmas paper on this layout as part of one of the 2Peas challenges. It includes papers from October Afternoon, Echo Park, Studio Calico, and Crate Paper. I also cracked out the silhouette for the first time in awhile to make the fun ampersand for this layout. After getting the ampersand out, I misted the space left onto the layout to create the solid yellow ampersand and then layered the white cut out ampersand slightly offset. It was the first thing I put on the layout and dictated the rest of the layout. I decided I wanted the ring around it and to keep it clean of any other layers. I cut the ring very messily and imperfectly and I just adore it.
I added some yellow tapes, some hand drawn faux stitching, some stamps, and some brads. The brads are also all Christmas supplies from OAs Make It Merry. I even used my Holiday American Crafts date stamp to really bring together the Christmas supply challenge. :)
Thanks for stopping by! Check in later this week for a new Paper Girls Challenge Blog challenge, some more Practical Scrapper goodies, and, of course, more Project Life!
