I'm, once again, cutting it close on finishing my SS mid-week mojo on time. :) I was extra lazy this weekend, because once again I'm not feeling well, so I didn't get as much done as I normally would.
I did get it done though. This week is a 2-page sketch. I very seriously debated just doing a 1 pager out of it, because I truly struggle with two pagers, but I gave it ago and I'm fairly happy with the results. If you want to play along, you can check out this sketch and know where to find Jade 6 on Wednesday.
I have noticed that my 2 page style is much simpler compared to my 1 page style. I don't know if that's simply because I struggle with 2 pagers in general, and therefore I don't embellish as much, or if I get overwhelmed trying to figure out how to embellish that much space in a balanced way. Either way, this is obviously simpler, but I'm still pleased with it.
I incorporated some Kiwi Lane Designer Templates (surprising no one I"m sure), some map print Thickers, some Studio Calico Wood Veneer and diecuts from October Afternoon. The paper is combo of Fancy Pants' My Family and Hot Chocolate (I'm on a mission to work through my paper stash ... with me now staying home money is tight, so I'm using what I have. You will likely see lots of older papers in the upcoming months. Once the stash is basically gone, then I can fill it with nothing but the latest and greatest wonderfulness).
I'm also going to enter this in the 2Peas challenge to use up that wood veneer in our stash. I still have plenty more to use up even after this layout. :)
Check in tomorrow for another Ten Things post for Practical Scrappers!
