Coral 3(b)

This week Scrapbooksteals.com had a guest sketcher.  She provided two awesome sketches.  I only had time to complete one of them and really enjoyed it.

This was the second sketch:

I liked the idea of a grid, but decided to put my spin on it when I put my layout together.

I cut out all of my patterned paper pieces into more or less similarly sized rectangles.  Then I went on a layering spree.  :)  I kept all of the layering within the bigger grid to give it a sense of order within the complexity.  Then I added a couple of the chipboard die cuts, some stamped tickets that I cut out and a sprinkling of gems and ink along the diagonal to bring the layout together.

Kraft Funday is a challenging collection with its soft colors, and this layout was a bit of a stretch for me, but I really like how it turned out!
