Here is Kristy's fantastic sketch - one photo, the background circular element and then horizontal stripes and banners.
And here is where I took it:
I used Amy Tangerine sketch book, but stuck almost exclusively with the tans, blacks, whites and pinks in the collection. I cut out the arrow background in a loose circular pattern (it didn't quite do what I had envisioned, but I still like it) on my Cameo. The background sheet is misted with Mister Huey in Pretty Pink and the top "background" sheet was misted with Mister Huey in Shine just to add a little texture.
Since the photo is a self portrait after I ran Kiss Me Dirty over the weekend, I went with a camera motif for a lot of the embellishments. I fussy cut them all out of patterned paper from the collection. The floral embellishment that overlaps the photo was also fussy cut from a piece of patterned paper from Sketchbook. I made little banner flags with washi tape to hang from baker's twine and then used some of the stickers from the kit as well as a brad. I also layered some washi along the main horizontal elements (I am totally addicted to the black measuring tape washi) and along the top to pull the page together. The page was finished with some MME crystals and an Amy Tangerine camera shaped paper clip.
I think its a fun page to help remember a fun day. I should mention our costumes were all pink, black and white and that is how I choose the color scheme for the layout. :) Now I"m off to tackle this week's Monday Card Madness!
