Turquoise 10 - Little Artist Akiha

This week marked the end of the Turquoise series of mid-week mojos at scrapbooksteals.  I'm really feeling like I"m back in the scrapping groove!  Woo-hoo!  Now to find time to do more than just one project a week (though that may not happen until Adelé) is a little bit older and going to bed at a more reasonable time.  :)

I decided to use Echo Park's Country Drive for this photo of Akiha drawing with her sidewalk chalks.  The cheerful colors went perfectly with Akiha's outfit and the mood of the photo.

I couldn't resist using some Distress Inks, of course.  Inking many of my edges with Wild Honey and creating the background of the banner with Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean (from the Summer Seasonal Inks) and Wild Honey.  I made a few embellishments with some butterfly stamps (also colored with Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean and topped with Rock Candy Distress Stickles.  I made another ribbon flower (I'm really digging them right now) and used some Liquid Pearls in Buttercup to emphasize the center of most of the flowers.

I really love how happy and cheerful the layout turned out and how much it brings out Akiha's cheerful mood.
