This week there was a guest sketcher and I LOVE the sketch she came up with. I pulled out these photos from the day Adelé was born to use. I decided to use some Lost and Found II - Blush and the background page is from the first round of Lost and Found - Market Street. I liked the green background against all of the pink and roses. (Poor stuart always surrounded by girls and girly things!)
I stamped the flowers that I made the banner out of in Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, topped them with the Perfect Pearl Perfect Pearls (wow that's wordy and unwieldy). You can't really see the pearlized finish in the photo, but it is gorgeous.
After putting the entire layout together, I decided that it needed splattering. Talking about stressful. I really really wanted to do it, but I was petrified that it was going to ruin my layout. But a friend talked me into it. I covered my photos and patterned papers with a sheet of paper and went to town splattering Victorian Velvet Distress Stain in three spots around the center section. I just love how it worked out - it really finished up the layout for me.
I'm thrilled with the layout and had so much fun putting it together!
